Co-working space means a space or an arrangement where workers or employees from different companies and organisations work together in an office space. This helps in saving the cost and provides convenience in work. In this, the workers work in the same infrastructure, use the same equipment, machines and use common amenities etc.

If a co-working place is not well designed, partitioned or not well organized so it will not be good and co-operative for the co-workers to work efficiently. Hence, it is necessary that before launching a co-working place various points should be kept in mind and it should be designed by taking the proper time and also after considering the needs of the co-workers.

Here are five ways to make your Co-working space stand out.

1. Stand for something & make it known

You must know why you have a co-working space. You must know your objective of starting a co-working space. If your mission will be uncertain and inexpressible, so people will forget that. Stand for something means to hold to a particular opinion or belief. You must know for what your co-working space is different and preferred. Make people happy in a space that takes away the urban life stress. So, you must know your objective for having a co-working space and should stand out for that.

2. Specialise & service a niche market

In all the companies, whether large or small all the employees, personnel, the professionals, the engineers, lawyers etc are seeking to work in a Co-working space. Everyone wants a place that could be according to their specialisation. But in a co-working space you will get customers with different needs, wants and demands. You can cater to different groups within a particular segment.

According to their specialisation the adequate infrastructure, equipment, training, testing laboratories, or photo studios must be arranged.

3. Make a bold move. Catch them by (pleasant) surprise

A bold move will grab attention. Design your Co-working space that must grab the attention of the people. For example, if you are a co-workspace that works for reconnecting with nature, don’t just plant plants at the entrance but also design it in a more unique and attractive manner. You may create a mini rainforest. Or design the meeting and conference rooms with some plantation designs along with the full Wi-Fi access.

If you wish to work with the artists or businesses than along with focusing on the work and events, create a co-working space that must have laptops and the necessary equipment. Also, there must be some pictures or different kinds of arts. The meeting rooms must be designed out of art galleries. So you must design your Co-working space that must attract your clients as well as the employees working in it.

4. Find partners. Create a support system for your clients

Another way to make your Co-working space stand out is to add some extra value to your existing service. You may find out some partners that could help your entrepreneurs with courier, HR, designing or accounting and financial services, You may get the best trainers. You may provide health care services, provide best airfares, best cab prices etc. You may build a network of mentors and supporters to help your co-workers. You may provide career development training and counselling. There are many ways to consistently provide support to your clients and co-workers. This will make your Co-working space more successful as the clients will be happy with the services provided by your Co-working space and partners. And your Co-working space will be recognised uniquely for it.

5. Experiment. Start a trend

Try something new with your Co-working space. Start a new trend rather than following the trends. You may experiment with something new by calculating the risk and may try something new. For example, many people work on the go and travel a lot for work purposes. So they think that paying for office space is a waste. But they also need the official address of the office and an official telephone line. So a Virtual office space can be created. Can have a full-fledged Cafeteria. Start a Training workshop for some skills.

All these things will help your Co-working space to stand out. It will help with the long term benefits and success. Being standing out and making yourself unique with others will help a co-workspace to work efficiently and effectively.
